"Jump!" Book Review

Jump! is Julia Dweck's newest book with Sleepy Sheep Productions! It will be free on Amazon on 9/19 and 9/20, so be sure to pick it up! This is a picture book for young readers and follows the story of Jack, a Jack-in-the-Box who learns how to think outside the box! It's a fun adventure that children will enjoy reading.

Julia's books are always really upbeat and fun to read. My daughter, in particular, really like reading them and will often ask for my phone so she can read the books. My son really enjoys the colorful artwork and will comment about what parts he liked. He was able to relate to Jack, since he loves to jump around, but isn't always able to jump when he wants to.

Jack starts out by preparing for his thousandth jump when his coil ends up breaking! He feels upset and tries to figure out what to do, now that he couldn't move around the way he was used to. He comes across Barker, the dog, who gives him some tips and teaches him to have some fun. They go on lots of fun adventures and Jack realizes that he doesn't need a box to jump in to have fun. In the end Barker reveals that he had buried Jack's box and Jack makes the decision to jump without it.

At the end of the ebook, as with all the other books we have read from Julia Dweck, there are fun facts and activities! You can find facts about jumping, unscramble words (with answers), and story comprehension questions!

Jump! has a great plot and is wonderfully illustrated. You can find life lessons in this book, taught through the adventures of a Jack-in-the-Box! My children loved this book and we look forward to reading the new titles from Sleepy Sheep Productions: Crowned! and Frostbite.

Disclosure: I received this ebook for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I was not swayed by the free product.
