Scentsy Fragrance Review

My cousin Stephanie is a consultant like I am, however she is a consultant for Scentsy Fragrance. I first learned of Scentsy last year when she gave me a Scentsy Plug-In and a mixed bag of wax Fragrance Bars. I loved them! My first warmer was a Plug-In and now I have a second one. I use them daily. I keep one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. I typically try to use coordinating scents so they don't clash, since these rooms are right next to each other.

Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Scentsy has basically replaced my need for candles. I love candles, but I always worry about them with children around. My own children have never tried to touch a candle and know to just leave them alone. I usually burn them in the bathroom or in the kitchen. But with two young kids and a dog who sometimes decides to go crazy (it's probably a Shiba Inu thing), accidents are bound to happen. Which is why I love Scentsy Plug-In warmers! They plug right into the outlet and they are up away from surfaces where someone could bump into it and knock it down. My current warmer (the one you'll see below) is a solid piece, though they do have two piece warmers available. My first warmer was a two-piece and Munchkin accidentally dropped the top piece (it wasn't warm, we were just moving it). Luckily I was able to repair it, but just in case, Scentsy has plenty of Scentsy Dishes available to replace them, if it does happen to break.

Your Scentsy warmer will come in a box like this one. I've kept the box, in case I ever have a surplus of burners and need to decide between them. The wax Fragrance Bars come in a small plastic container that separates the pieces for you.

It's really easy to put the warmers together.

Your package includes: the warmer, plug, light bulb, directions and a spare piece (it acts as a grip).

One of the great features of the Plug-In Warmers is that you can twist it around so it aligns to your outlet.

You'll need a screwdriver to secure the warmer to the plug-in.

I usually keep the wax in a bowl (with a lid) near the warmer so I can replace them as needed. You'll want to warm the wax until it no longer produces a scent. Once you can't smell it, turn off the warmer and place two cotton balls in the wax. The cotton balls will soak up the wax and then wipe the warmer down to remove any lingering traces. Then you can place a new wax fragrance in the warmer. (If you don't have cotton balls, you can also use paper towels or some sort of product you can toss out after.)

I love the way the warmers look when they are plugged in! They are so pretty! This is one of Scentsy's more simple designs. They have a huge collection to choose from, so there is something for everyone. I prefer the nature themed designs, but they also have university logos, holiday designs, rustic, zen, and religious, just to name a few. There are even a few that would look perfect in a kids room!

The waxes melt at a steady pace, but you'll smell them almost immediately and the scent is always so lovely! The Fragrance Collection is HUGE! I have multiple favorites, though many are from the Fall and Winter collection, like Cedar Cider, Iced Pine, Mandarin Moon, and Sugar and Spice. I prefer earthy and spicy scents in the kitchen and flowery scents in the bathroom. They even have a handful of scents that are ideal for men, like Route 66 and Vanilla Suede, though I feel like My Dear Watson should definitely join this group!

The warmers also look lovely at night and can even serve as a dim nightlight (some of the warmers are brighter than this one).

The Scentsy warmers use a low-watt bulb to slowly melt the wax. I would recommend only using Scentsy waxes in your Scentsy warmers, though I haven't tried using a different brand of wax in my warmer. The Scentsy fragrance waxes are specially formulated to melt slowly.

Only the outlets in our kitchen and bathroom are higher on the wall, so that's where I use my Scentsy Plug-In

Pros:
- Easy to use and set up
- Smells wonderful (most scents are easy on sensitive noses)
- Long lasting scent (one wax can be used for several days before replacing it)
- Can be used in any room with an outlet
- Flame-less

Cons:
They can't tailor their scents to people with allergies, so I can't complain about being too sensitive for some of the scents. Other than that, I've had no issues with Scentsy Fragrances.

One of the other lovely things about Scentsy is that they have a huge selection of other products to choose from. They have Bath and Body products, including shampoo, body wash, lotion, body spray, hand soap and even hand sanitizer! Scentsy's Home Fragrance collection includes Bars (wax for the warmers), room sprays, fresheners, and hand soap. Scentsy even has On the Go products for your car and purse. I haven't tried Scentsy's Laundry products yet, so I can't say one way or the other. But by far our favorite product, besides the warmers, are the Scentsy Buddies. The Buddies are adorable and soft and come with a Scent Pak. They make children's bedrooms smell lovely and they are great to cuddle with!
